The company's activities are structured into five main segments: Commercial Aviation, Defense and Security, Executive Jets, Service & Support, and Other. The Commercial Aviation division focuses on the development and production of a diverse range of commercial passenger aircraft. Established in 1969 and based in São Paulo, Brazil, the company was originally named Embraer-Empresa Brasileira de Aeronáutica S.A. and rebranded as Embraer S.A. in November 2010.
